Teachers are lifelong learners, consistently refining their practice. Engaging in numerous professional development experiences, I have acquired a deeper understanding of various topics and concepts. Here are some of the impactful courses and roles I have undertaken throughout my journey as an educator.
Project GLAD (Guided Language Acquisition and Design) for Elementary Teachers for the Leeward District
2/11/2016-11/04/2016 This course focused on techniques to enhance the English language using various GLAD strategies such as pictorial input charts, realia, and prediction/reaction guides. I have planned and implemented lessons to demonstrate the effectiveness of this course. |
Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) Conference
March 25-27, 2017: Anaheim, California This educational leadership workshop allowed educators to discover new ideas based on our personal learning interests. A wide range of speakers discussed topics that support the whole-child approach. |
