ED800 Educational Inquiry
Dr. Steven Weiland
Educational inquiry takes a philosophical perspective on education and forced me to analyze how my experiences correlate to the way I teach. Concepts such as “truth”, “beauty”, and “goodness” challenged my views of the world, and I was allowed to take an ethical stance based on each units readings. This course taught me that the educational process has both psychological and sociological impact in educational experiences. As an educator, it is important to know and understand multiple perspectives and have thought provoking discussions that will continue to shape my philosophy of education.
